Celebrate my anniversary by supporting fulfilment of human rights and equality –also for Deaf people!

I turn 50 years this year. Over the past years I have been involved in many things, but all my activities have been based on human rights and willingness to work for their fulfilment. In particular, Deaf people’s human rights have always been close at my heart.

I have been fortunate to have such a many friends and partners to work with and to share this work. Now that I have my 50th year birthday, I will not arrange any anniversary celebrations. In place of celebrations, I invite you all to support Deaf people’s human rights and their fulfilment.

The recently adopted Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities requires a lot of consulting and training also among the Deaf and for this World Federation of the Deaf needs all our support.

I hope that all my friends and partners and also all of you I might never have met, want to support this human rights work on your behalf.
